Boucle de Goulée

Whether you set off from the hamlet of Goulée or from the centre of Valeyrac, this walk offers a peaceful interlude. Away from the hustle and bustle, you'll find yourself immersed in the heart of nature, where it's easy to get away from it all. Along the way, you'll be able to admire two of the town's most emblematic features: the Gironde estuary on one side and the vineyards on the other. Along the way, take time to observe the local wildlife. You may be lucky enough to spot a Green Lizard (Lacerta Viridis) sunbathing or a European Cistude (Emys Orbicularis), an aquatic turtle often seen in marshes. This walking loop is perfect for a family outing, accessible to all, including the very young and those not used to walking. With no difficulty and no change in altitude, it's a pleasant way to discover all the facets of Valeyrac. The scenery offers uninterrupted views of the estuary, vine-lined paths and, last but not least, the charming port of Goulée, one of the jewels of the local heritage. On site, picnic areas invite you to relax in the open air, and if you'd like to sample the local specialities, there are several food outlets where you can enjoy a convivial meal.
