Château Hourtin-Ducasse

Château Hourtin-Ducasse, located in Saint-Sauveur, near Pauillac, produces a Haut-Médoc. Two former owners, in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, Messrs. Hourtin and Ducasse, gave him his name. It is exploited today by Michel Marengo, who acquired it in 1976, accompanied by his wife and their 7 children. The vineyard covers 25 ha of vineyards conducted in conservation agriculture; this method borrows some techniques from biodynamic or organic agriculture. "In addition to our determination to preserve the riches of our terroir and our desire to respect the environment, we are convinced to improve the quality of our wines in this way". While revealing the purity of the fruit, this wine is defined by its elegance and balance. The last 31 vintages have received 119 awards.
